Norwich Pride first film festival call out

Norwich Prides first film festival is happening. This year I have taken on the role of Norwich Prides arts team leader. Which is helping organise art exhibitions and the first film festival in Norwich.
If you have a film that is 3 minutes or less then email them to eloise@norwichpride.org.uk
The format does not matter, DVD or a link to your film on line. The winning films will be shown at fusion at the forum in Norwich on a big screen and will have subtitles and a sign language interpreter on the the screens either side of the film. So the hard of hearing can watch the films too. The films will be put on a loop and shown every 30 minutes in the fusion at the forum on Pride day the 28th of July. There will be a expert judging panel viewing the films. But enter your film even if its your first film that you ever made, it may be the winning film. Film entries need to be in by the 1st of June.
There maybe more prizes we shall see if any prizes are donated. We are still fundraiser for Norwich Pride, if you would like to help towards the festival then donate to Local giving they also add extra cash to your donation. https://localgiving.com/norwichpride.
If you would like to get involved in Norwich Pride or exhibit art work get in touch with Norwich Pride.

Escape From Tibet

This week I bought a fantastic book called Escape from Tibet, written by UK's best documentary film producer, Nick Gray! Many years ago he filmed two boys escaping their home land Tibet (under Chinese rule and torture) in search for the Dalai Lama. The boys went through the most horrendous survival in their escape, making Captain Scott look like a diva with a silver spoon wrapped in cotton wool. Even J.K. Rowling wouldn't be able to drum up this story from her imagination.
The book has amazing photos of the journey and has a nice lay out (makes it easy to read). I would recommend the book to everyone. Check out the website for a short film clip and details of where to buy the book.
