I am a Deviant artist

Today I joined Deviant art which is a website for artists that is a bit like facebook but the artist can sell the work in the form of T-shirts and mugs and all that stuff. I should have joined it years ago. In 2010 I went to Mumbai in Indian to collaborate on a book and animation with animation xpress boss Anand Gurnani. While I was there Mumbai deviant artists were having there first meet up. We met for a coffee, then had lunch looked around a gallery and sat in the park and showed off each others works vira laptops. I am still friends with all the Mumbai artists vira facebook. You can find me on Deviant art  page click here.

New Etsy shop open

Inspired by my Auntie Alex to hurry up and open an Etsy shop, to sell prints of my work and originals. I hope it works as I have to pay a fee to list the art works on the Etsy site. Its a risk I can take as an old great friend got in contact recently and bought some of my originals. An opportunity to take a gamble with the virtual art of selling. I put the Queens history society on so far. This watercolour is of Titti-T-Rash can be bought as an A4 print. Check out the shop and click here

St. Patricks day painting

Years ago I did a series of comical St. Patrick's day paintings. I keep meaning to make into cards but haven't got round to it. Each year I reveal a new one. This one is St. Patrick feeding his pet eels shamrocks on his birthday. Today I have decided to make a new website as my old one was done in Flash which is not good for the mobile phones. Hopefully I can create a shop to sell prints and paintings.  I might be dysfunctional at making money out of art. But I can say that I have achieved things beyond my own believe and seem to have a very interesting life.

Film about artist Vince Laws

My friend Shelly Telly has just finished making a film about Vince Laws the artist/poet/writer and his B-right On festival that he held down in Brighton for the whole of February. The Norwich Dandies group went down there to do artist/model performance at the LGBT well being day. Shelly filmed the launch of the festival. Vince had an artwork Banned at the festival which was about the Pope. The Pope then resigned.

Queer art club launched

Queer art club was launched recently at the Greenhouse trust cafe in Norwich. Shelly Telly and I arrived at the cafe and started to set up the Internet to view the new Queer art website. Wondering with excitement whether anyone would turn up. Then gradually people started to come through the door. We pushed more and more tables together. Our first meeting and we decided on a A5 size of art work that people would donate as payment to join the club. We also came up with some ideas of where we would like the club to go in the future. A few of the club members brought along art work which they past around the table and asked what we thought of it. It was nice to see that we could chat about each others art work. We also came up with a date the 26th of each month to hold the meetings. Were hoping to have people come and have talks and workshops. Tigger said he would help with letter head and would look after club member art work at the Greenhouse. All the notes from the meeting were kindly written up by Shelly Telly. If you would like a copy of them then please do join the Queer art club.
