Claire Freer cable bag was woven for my birthday a few years back, in fact it started on one birthday and finished on the next. Claire has woven her way wrong the world. Starting in Australia with grass weaving and passing on the weaving knowledge as she goes and learning new weaving from new people. She has made amazing weaving she now lives in London so this is the sort of thing you find growing wild in the city skips electrical cables. Claire bettered herself and studied an MA at Goldsmiths college where her work and words grew bigger. Claire and I have worked on lots of arts projects together here and in Australia.
Update 2012: Claire now lives in Australia
